Gina Renee Rallison (Watts)
Gina Renee Rallison, born January 27, 1965, in Gooding, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho, on June 18, 2025, surrounded by love and grace.
Gina was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend whose laughter could light up a room and often did. She was known for her contagious laugh, which almost always ended with a snort that made her (and everyone around her) laugh even harder. She had a rare and beautiful gift of making people feel seen, heard, and completely welcome. Her arms and heart were always open.
Gina grew up in Gooding, Idaho, where she graduated from Gooding High School in 1983. During her time there, she was a proud member of the drill team from her sophomore through senior year and sang in the school choir, two passions that showed off her fun, energetic, and outgoing spirit. Her love for music continued well into adulthood, and whenever there was a karaoke mic nearby, you could bet Gina would be first in line. Her favorite song to perform was “These Boots Were Made for Walkin," and she sang it with confidence, sass, and a sparkle in her eye that was unmistakably Gina.
Soon after high school, she met her first husband, Pete, and together they had two children: her daughter, Talia, and one year later, her son, Nathaniel. Though their paths eventually parted, Gina always remained devoted to her role as a mother. Later, she met her second husband, Andy, and together they completed their family with the birth of her youngest daughter, Jandina.
Throughout her adult life, Gina poured her energy into raising her children with unwavering love. Her greatest priority in life was to be the best mother and nurturer she could be, and she excelled tremendously. Family was everything to her. Some of the happiest moments from her younger years were spent golfing and enjoying weekends on the water boating with her children, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those memories were some of her most cherished.
Professionally, Gina dedicated 18 years to Power Engineers in accounting, where she was known for her work ethic, attention to detail, and loyalty. But beyond her career, her heart belonged to the outdoors, especially the mountains, which she always called her true home. She loved camping, and simply soaking in the beauty of Idaho’s wilderness, working in her flower beds, spending time with her mama and siblings, and creating beautiful handmade gifts through her crocheting. Her crocheted pieces brought joy to many and remain as treasured reminders of her love and special touch.
Gina’s resilience was nothing short of remarkable. Diagnosed with diabetes and Graves’ disease in her early 30s, she faced every challenge with courage and grace. In 2015, when her eyesight began to decline, she never let it stop her. She leaned on her daughters, Talia and Jandina, who took turns accompanying her on trips to Salt Lake City for specialist appointments. They always made these trips an experience, staying overnight, finding new restaurants, sightseeing, and sharing laughter. These moments, filled with love and sisterhood, became sacred traditions.
In her later years, Talia provided steady care and support, helping Gina remain independent while navigating her health challenges. Despite undergoing several eye surgeries, Gina never lost her fierce independence or zest for life. She was a go-getter through and through, a trait she passed on to each of her children and grandchildren.
Gina is survived by her three children: Talia Alicia Schmidt (and her children Aidyn, Kaiah, and Ryker), Nathaniel Cole Gil and his wife Cynthia (and their children Teagan, Caedus, and Kiana), and Jandina Rachael Myers and her husband Jon (and their children Alivia and Weston). She also leaves behind her loving mother Minnie Williams; her brothers, Skeeter Watts and Bob (Miki) Watts; her sisters, Joyce (Wayne Haffner) and Kelly (Randy Bryant); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daddy Bud Watts, her sister Donna Watts, and several other dear family members who have greeted her in Heaven.
Through all of life’s challenges, Gina remained a fighter, a giver, and a source of unwavering love. In her final months, Gina found peace in her faith, building a beautiful relationship with God. We take comfort in knowing she was called home by the One she was coming to know more deeply each day.
