With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Iovany Garcia Vazquez, age 41, on December 2, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho.
Son of Armando Vazquez and the late Maria Vazquez, Iovany was born on August 23, 1984, in Chiapas, Mexico.
In his younger years, he lived in California until age 16, when he moved to Jerome, Idaho. It was there that he met his wife, Nivea Vazquez, and later married her on June 12, 2002. Together, they built their life in Jerome and welcomed three children: Melana Vazquez, David Vazquez, and Sophia Vazquez.
Iovany was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. A hardworking man, he continually strived to improve and grow every day. He was an avid fisherman who lived for new adventures, loved the outdoors, and cherished time spent with his family and friends. Known for his big heart and generosity, Iovany would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His smile and contagious sense of humor could light up any room, a true reflection of the love he carried for others.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him throughout his life.
He is survived by his father, Armando Vazquez; his wife, Nivea Vazquez (Coelho); his children, Melana, David, and Sophia Vazquez; his brothers, Edwin Vazquez and Omar Vazquez; and his sister, Rosie Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Vazquez; his father-in-law, Manuel Coelho; his brother-in-law, Carlos Coelho; and his aunt, Diva Gomez.
