Linda Kay Myers, of Jerome, Idaho went to Heaven on May 24, 2024, from St. Luke’s Jerome. She was born May 26, 1958 at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Jerome to Junior Lee Myers and Joan Allison Myers. Her brothers are: Michael (Robin C.) Myers of Garland, UT, Dennis, and Greg (Robin M.) Myers of Jerome, ID She is also survived by her son, William “Billy” Studyvin and granddaughter Ashlynn Studyvin of Jerome.
Linda was raised with her three brothers on the family farm north of Jerome, where she picked many rocks and moved a lot of siphon tubes and sprinkler pipe over her teen years.
She attended school at Appleton, Pleasant Plains, Lincoln, Jr. High and graduated in 1977 from Jerome High School. While in the 6th grade she took band where she learned to play the flute. In high school the piccolo and alto saxophone were added. She was in jazz band her senior year. After high school she attended CSI and played in the CSI Community Pep Band for several years. She learned to play several other instruments over the years. The Bagpipes was the only one that she had a hard time with. She loved her music and her dogs, which she had several over the years.
She was a Teacher’s Aide at Jefferson School. She worked as a CAN and Activity Director at St. Benedict’s Long Term Care in Jerome, and as a CNA at Wood River Convalescence in Shoshone.
She was a member of the Jerome First Baptist Church. A camp counselor at Cathedral Pines Baptist Church Camp, and a member of the Baptist Church musical group that played in the mall and various nursing homes during the Christmas Season.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Walter and Laura Myers, Glen and Violet Allison, her father Junior Lee Myers, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her son, William “Billy” Studyvin, her granddaughter, Ashlynn Studyvin, her mother Joan Myers, brothers Michael (Robin C.) Myers, Dennis, Greg (Robin M.) Myers, unless and aunts; Wilford (Carol) Allison, Patricia Allison, Ilene Myers, Paul (Barbara) Myers, Juanita Myers, and 12 nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to the Jerome First Baptist Church 308 1st Ave E, Jerome.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Twin Falls and Jerome St. Luke’s medical staff, and Ange at Demaray’s who lovingly cared for Linda.
