IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Obituary

Paula Jo Norman (Webb, Prosser, Christensen) died by suicide with prescription medication on or about March 16, 2026, in Filer, Idaho.
She was born to Don and Sandra Christensen on February 18, 1974, in Price, Utah. She was the last child of the family. The family was living in Huntington, Utah, at that time. Your typical small town USA. She was a happy child and may have hung on Mom’s apron strings way too much if you asked her siblings.
Her teen and early adult years were sprinkled with strife in the family, as well as the divorce of her parents. All of which affected her formative years.
In her older years, she got involved in drugs, alcohol, and prescription pills with her spouses. These things would become a bane in her life. She experienced great pain both physically and mentally, and she sought relief from many forms. Though Paula was involved in substance abuse, she did express a great love for her children.
Paula had two children with her ex-husband, Kenneth Webb Jr (Deceased). They were Ashley Marie Webb (Deceased) and Kenneth Webb Jr. She got divorced and soon after married ex-husband Ronald Prosser. She had two more children with him, Dakota Zachary and Austin Lewis Prosser. She got divorced and then married ex-husband, Monty Webb. They had no children. They were divorced, and lastly, she married ex-husband Michael Norman. They also had no children. However, she eventually divorced him as well. Due to the drugs and alcohol with her ex-husbands, the State of Utah took away her kids and divided them up with family.
Several years later, when her daughter Ashley was old enough, she chose to leave Sandra’s (Paula’s mother) care and live with Paula again in Idaho. One night in 2016, Ashley was killed in an auto accident. This was a huge blow to Paula. She struggled to cope with this loss. It is believed that she has never recovered from that or the many other losses in her life. So much loss in a short life was a great burden on her.
Because of Paula’s chosen path through life and lack of education in life she had limited her employment and health status. It appears she struggled to make ends meet for many years. Lots of great friends and Church members provided assistance and friendship to help her. Most recently, she had a great friendship with Tina from Wisconsin and Darla and her family in Filer. Sadly, her friend Darla would be the one who found her approximately 6 days after she had taken her life.
Over the past few years, Paula was looking for spiritual guidance. She had been attending a local Protestant Church when she decided to return to her birth faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was attending meetings and appeared to be making progress with several good life goals and great spiritual support. She attempted to make amends with several family members with some success. Paula had expressed to her oldest brother Scott that her body was feeling the wear and tear of years of work and abuse, but that she was seemingly happy and learning to garden and bottle food like her mother. They had exchanged several bottling recipes and tips. They talked about growing many of her favorite vegetables in a garden.
Her choice to leave this life was a surprise for family and friends alike. Paula expressed that she was planning on moving and had started to box several items.
No matter what she did in her past, Paula was a friend, sister, daughter, and mother, and she will be missed by them all. We are all hoping she finds peace and joy in the next life. The world has lost a daughter of God. She has 6 older siblings: Scott (Cindy) Christensen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia (Paul) Keser of Warsaw, Missouri, Roger (Debbie) Christensen of Tooele, Utah, Don (Kristi) Christensen of Lehi, Utah, Anna Brown of Longview, Washington, and Shawna Laws of Phoenix, Arizona.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Ashley, her ex-husband Kenneth Webb Jr., and her brother Don Christensen.
We would like to thank the Ward that tried to help her and love her, specifically Darla and her family, her friend Tina, her family, including her children, the local coroner's office, the Mortuary, the local Filer police department, and all those whose lives were touched by her.
Darla asked if they could hold a memorial in Filer. Also, the family in Utah has expressed a desire to hold some sort of memorial or celebration of life.
At the time of this writing, no firm plans are in place. Keep in touch with Darla and her brother, Scott Christensen for any future plans.
